Penalara GHC is a timetable generator intended for primary schools, high schools, vocational schools and universities.
GHC is composed of 3 parts, which obtain a balanced and optimal timetable. These are: the planner, the engine and the editor.
In the planner, the different elements that will be part of the timetable of your school are configured: availability of teachers and their preferences, groups of students, classrooms, subjects, characteristics of the class units, meetings, on-call hours, etc.
The GHC engine, thanks to its complex algorithm, tries to reach a compromise between all the conditions and preferences established in the planner to find the best solution, making it balanced and optimal.
The final outcome, your timetable, will be displayed in the editor. You can view it in different tables of teachers, classrooms, groups, meetings, on-call hours, etc. The editor also allows you to make all the changes that you want manually; therefore, the software will warn you of possible conflicts that may arise.
GHC exchanges data with a large number of academic management applications, both public and private, to make easier the management of your educational institution, and to achieve significant savings in terms of work and time. You can see the full list of academic management applications through our official website. If the software used in your school is not listed here, a study could be carried out to integrate it.
The integration with the different applications is based on a first provision of data from their academic management platform to GHC (import) and a second data submission to return the resolved timetable (export). The timetable can also be converted to different formats such as Excel, HTML and PDF.
GHC is a desktop application that can be installed in any version of Windows from Windows 7.
